What Does a Weekly Clean Eating Meal Plan Consists Of?

A new trend that has emerged quite recently, has been making its way into a lot of peoples lives without them even knowing about it. What I mean by this is that you may already have some clean eating habits that you aren't even aware of. Clean eating is not a diet that tells you what exactly you have to eat, but yet a part of your lifestyle that shows you the right substances to help you have a healthier life. There is a lot of misconception on how people should go about clean eating and if there is a type of eating that perhaps isn't clean. Today we are going to explain a plan for a week's worth of clean eating. Ready? Let's get straight into this then.

No processed foods

Processed foods are going to be the ones that won't require a lot of preparation or even in some case none and they are also low in fibre and whole grains. These are usually foods like chips, instant ramen, bacon granola bars, cookies, frozen dinner, canned soup and more. If you want to make a change, your weekly clean eating meal plan should be entirely based on whole ingredients that you will need to prepare in order to make a dish.

Nutrients

At the beginning of your first weekly clean eating meal plan, you will need to have two phases of detox - both are going to include nutrients. In the first phase, you will need to consume foods rich in vitamin B, folic acid, carotenoids and antioxidants like glutathione, vitamin E and C. In the second phase you will consume foods high in amino acids (glutamine and glycine). These foods are usually mushrooms, blueberries, turkey meat and more.

Whole Foods

Foods that aren't treated with any chemicals are going to be what you are looking for here, which are usually full-fat dairy products, lean proteins, dried beans and unsalted nuts. Food that is made to look good and last longer is going to be refined with added sugars, preservatives and dyes which affect your health badly. Always go for fresh vegetables and whole grain foods.

5 Meals per Day

In the course of your day, you should include 3 small main meals and two snacks in between with an exact amount of calories. You will have to be careful about how many calories you eat in order to have a well-organized eating plan that won't affect your health. By this, I mean that you won't be able to overeat or feel hungry at the end of your meal or at the end of the day if you know exactly how much your calorie intake is.

Water

Drinks like sodas and bottled juice have a lot of sugar and calories in them whilst being low on nutrients. The only fluid you will drink is going to be water and nothing else, as it is best at keeping you hydrated and not being hungry all the time. Water also helps clear your body from toxins and improves digestion, if you drink one glass an hour before you eat.
